I am a mother of one human & one dog baby, with a partner in construction who is also a small biz owner. We live in Douglas, Isle of Man but escape as much as we can!

I have been in finance for 25+ year and started as an office junior in Qualtrough’s Timber Yard and worked my way into Douglas and up the ranks, moving to London for a few years and then back again. Opening my own bookkeeping, accounting & back office support company in 2014 and then moving into advisory and coaching more recently when I realised that because I became so involved in my client’s businesses, and therefore their lives, I was asked for more than just their P&L. I was being asked for advice in other areas of the business, I was coaching them through redundancies when large contracts finished, I helped them source, test and implement none-finance related software that streamlined a whole area of their business and I navigated lean times in their business with cost saving ideas and brainstormed finances when moving countries or expanding. All while also completing their normal bookkeeping services. I loved it. I love that the clients come to me as their first point of call when they have news or they have a question about business or they need a sound ear or even if they just want to rant! You learn a lot about someone by what they rant about!
