7.30am Thursday 18th March
So sorry we didn’t get to have breakfast together last month but we’re full speed ahead with a get together on Zoom for this important month.
I say it’s important because I believe this month is pivotal. We’ve had freedom, we’ve had lockdown, we’ve had cancellations, we’ve had opportunities. Now more than ever we need to brace ourselves and really get to grips with what we really WANT in our lives. Have you thought of GIVING UP? Well maybe there’s a time for that too? I’ll be sharing some ideas to bolster your intentions but also to consider some things that it may be time to wave goodbye.
Guest Claire Christian MHK
I’m delighted to let you know that Claire Christian MHK can still be our Zoom Guest this Thursday 18th March at 7.30am. (Read more about Claire below from last month’s invite). With a colourful career ranging from glamour to public service, we are so looking forward to hearing Claire’s stories, views and values and as always learning from our Guest’s experiences and insights.
Get on the Positive Spiral!
I’m also delighted to welcome Adriana Santoro, a Performance Coach based here on island – who will take on the Book Review slot, but without the book! You’ll know that I’m obsessed by the benefits of positive emotions (and the harm of negative) so an article and super visual on this very subject from Adriana on LinkedIn caught my attention. As well as explaining her background and amazing personal story of resilience, I’m so looking forward to her sharing with us the theory and rationale behind the spiral of positive and negative emotions, what divides them AND some techniques to show us how to embrace the right ones!
We’ll have time to discuss some Positive Business too and hear more about some other initiatives and support from PowWow and yes, even discuss Giving Up!
It’s so important for our own wellbeing that we meet together and talk, learn and empower each other, so I hope you can join us on Thursday (18th) morning. Whilst some solitude is good for us, long term isolation is not and it’s uplifting when we get together with some positive and like-minded people. We really appreciate our Guests giving up their time for us too, so that we can learn from their experience, mindset and outlook, and we send our gratitude to them in advance.
Please RSVP and let me know that you can make it and as always, pass on this email to any of your friends or colleagues who are in need of some positive company!
